17/05/07 I have started horseriding lessons since my last entry, well I haven't actually sat on the horse yet but I'm working up to it! there are two horses called Thomas and Murphy they are really cool. I go to a place near my home called Acorn farm, they employ people with all different disabilities it is a lovely place to visit, I go on friday morning's so I get to leave nursery early. My instructor is specially trained with the RDA so she knows the best way for me to ride and will employ an OT if she thinks it will benefit me! I have been to the hospital lately, to see a neurologist they think I have been having some slight seizures, I call them petit mals when I am trying to impress! the doctor was lovely he said looking at the tests I had before he doesn't think I have epilepsy so I shouldn't need medication. The first bit of good news in ages!! everyone just have to keep an eye on me to make sure, hey, they have to do that anyway!! take your eyes off an Angel for a minute, as if.15/04/07 Well my Mummy made us all very proud yesterday when she jumped out of a plane at 14.000ft to make a Tandem skydive to raise money for my School, it was awesome!! Thanks to all at the North west parachute centre at Cark Airfield in Cumbria for a great day, especially Mike who dressed Mummy in a lovely bright yellow jumpsuit giving us all something to laugh at and for bringing her safely down from the sky!! and to Gary for making the DVD which gave us something other than Scooby Doo to watch on the way home in the car!! it was a perfect day the sun was shining the picnic was up to Mummy's usual standard, though why we have to take enough food to feed the whole of the Lake district everytime we go I will never know!! a great day had by all.28/03/07 I have had such a busy time lately, what with Comic relief, St Patrick's day and Mother's day all on the same weekend, I am exhausted, not! I can keep going long after the oldies have given up, I am a party animal. I am discovering new ways of keeping them all awake and on their toes, my favourite one at the moment is to cuddle next to Daddy when he is watching the TV pretend to go to sleep but at the same time sit on the remote control and keep pressing the buttons so the channels change and the volume goes up and down, this is especially satisfying when he is watching an important game of rugby. wicked, I know but lots of fun. I am in the press again next week, only the local paper this time, the St Helens Reporter I will have to get myself a PA to keep my diary in order I think, I never know what I will be doing next!03/03/07 Well what a time I have had just recently, for those of you not lucky enough to live "up north" I have to let you know I am now a well known TV star! well I appeared on the local news programme Granada Reports, I am such a celebrity I performed beautifully for the camera, everyone tried to muscle in but it was my moment. The fact that my completely barmy mum is jumping out of an aeroplane to raise money for my school was just a small thing compared to my smile. We went bowling last weekend it was great I nearly got a strike but Daddy stopped me chasing the ball all the way down the lane, I didn't think it was classed as cheating if you knocked the pins down with your hands, you think they would make allowances wouldn't you? 18/02/97 I have been celebrating Chinese New year today, by watching the dragon parade in Liverpool. what a great time it is the year of the pig, so on the way home we bought a KFC family bucket and devoured it with the speed that befitted the celebrations!!08/02/07 I have just found out I am to appear on the Makaton website, I told you Mummy has gone potty, she wants the whole world to know how wonderful it is to live with me! I do hope Mr Tumble from Something special gets to see it as I am his biggest fan and would like to appear on his show but only if he asked nicely!26/01/07 I went to vist the "know it all's" at Alder Hey hospital today they tell me my eyesight is not getting any worse. Although I may need an operation, not just yet. They don't know my squint gives me an added advantage, everyone thinks I can't see, especially when they try to hide things from me, but I see everything!! 22/01/07 I am really lucky to be able to attend mainstream school, and even luckier that my parents chose the best school in the world for me! they have a large number of children with learning difficulties and disabilities but they are so positive and focused on helping each individual child reach his or her full potential that they regulary get awards or recognition for their efforts. You can read the latest ofsted report via the scool site on my link page. My headmaster Mr Friend is implementing a special programme for me called "Brain solutions" today, I am told the aim of the programme is to improve the abilities and quality of life for children with intellectual and physical disabilities. They look at the whole child and not just her most obvious disabilities. I am going to learn how to crawl, as I have never crawled, at the moment I have help with passive crawling, I just lie on the floor and somone else does all the work! this will hopefully help improve my walking. I also get a facial massage and hand massage to help develop my facial and oral muscles, its great fun all I need is a cocktail by the pool and I would feel like a movie star! They are breaking me in gently to the rest of the programme, I will keep you posted. If you are interested in Brain solutions then please contact my school, see my links section, they can tell you all about it.
30/06/07 I have just returned from my holiday, refreshed and ready for more mayhem!! we went to a place called Ribby Hall Village, it was really nice, I even got to eat in the posh resturant without people staring at me when I made a mess!! the place is really friendly for people who are special like me, we are welcomed everywhere. it made a nice change.I gave mummy a treat one night and slept through till 7.45am she didn't get anymore sleep as she kept coming into my room and poking me to make sure I was allright! you just can't win!! The holiday was fab, we had our own little cottage with resident ducks on the doorstep each morning, we boosted the profits of the local shop bread sales that week! I allowed Mummy to ferry me around on her bike for the week it is hard work being the navigator on such a large site, she doesn't have much of a sense of direction as we went around in circles more than once, not my doing honest!! well maybe a slight influence, pointing and making lots of noise when knowing it is the wrong way I am sending her is great fun!! 03/06/07 Well I have been busy since my last posting! I can now crawl!! not such a big deal you may think but apparently it is according to my Brain solutions programme I am now learning to get both sides of my body working together including my eyes, who knows I may even lose my trademark squint! anyway I can move around the floor in my leopard crawl position and sneek up on everyone. I nearly gave my poor old grandma a shock when one minute I wasn't there and the next I was! I am just going out to buy some camouflage cream as I can feel some sneeky night moves happening, I wonder if the army would be interested in an undercover Angel? This weekend we have been out and about in the Lake district, we have a great picnic in a beautiful spot called Fell foot park, very angel pushchair friendly!! maybe I could organise a picnic for all the Northern Angels, now there's a thought! please look at my new ideas page.
I love my job!!My new Teacher is called Miss Davies I think I bring just the right amount of mayhem to her class, maybe I will take her an apple tommorrow. I have a couple of appointments coming up at Alder Hey Hospital with at the Genetics department and the Neurological Sciences Unit so I will post anything new. 02/09/07 Gosh I haven't written anything in here for ages! The School holidays are nearly over and I have had so many adventures I dont know where to begin! As you can see from the pictures I have been a Pirate, even though it was only for a day, at Jacob's Birthday party I think I could Kiera Knightly a run for her money in Pirates of the Carribean!! Maybe I will get myself an agent just in case. It was a great party and all the crew dressed up even grandma, who made a very good Long John Silver with her walking stick! Mummy has also bought us both some wetsuits so we can enjoy the pool even when the British weather lets us down! We are now the proud owners of a boat, quite a modest little craft but enough to make people watch as Daddy took us round Lake Windermere for a sail. The fact that is only a dinghy and Daddy was very red in the face after about 20 mins of going round in circles, as he couldn't get the hang of rowing!! we had a great time and so did the people watching who cheered when he got us safely back to shore! 16/07/07 Well here I am now 4 years old, yes it is my Birthday today. How does such a superstar celebrate her birthday you may ask, well in my case by being sick! all last night I kept my poor old Mum on her toes with the washing, the secret to being sick is to make sure you cover the bedding your pj's and anything else you can in projectile vomit!!Seriously it was not very nice, but luckily only one of those really annoying 24 hour things fancy on your Birthday I ask you!!My party is happening on Sunday when 22 of my little friends will be joining me to Celebrate, I will post details on monday if the poor old things manage to survive, how much trouble can 22 4 year olds cause,
07/11/07 I have celebrated Halloween and Bonfire night since my last post, both were great fun. I think I made a particularly attractive witch!! Jacob dressed up as Dracula, Mummy and Grandma were witches as well and Daddy was Frankenstein, we went to scare the neighbours. if any of them were in any doubt that we were all completely loony then they aren't any longer. We really are the Adams familly!! Ha, Ha. My appointment with the Doctor at Neuro Sciences went well, Dr kneen wes really nice, she said I probably had suffered some seizures but that I would need to have another EEG to determine the frequency and the type. this time I would need to wear the funny hat for 24 hours, Mummy and Daddy decided that they would wait 6 months and see what happens, Dr Kneen was quite happy to do this. So I can see my causing mayhem will be more difficult as everyone will be watching me very closely, still we Angels always find a way around problems. Ha Ha. on a lighter note Mummy has entered me and my dog Scout in the Friends for life award at Crufts next year, I will find out at the end of this month if we have been successful in being short listed, fingers crossed, or paws I suppose. 29/10/07 Since my last posting I have moved up to "Big School" Reception actually but it still means I am a grown up now. Mummy has always said I am four going on Forty! it is amazing the tricks you can learn when left alone for any length of time! they never learn do they? My new helper at School is called Paula we have a great time she is really nice, I can lull her into a false sense of security very easily then whack! when she least expects it Angel choas!!
